Pillar 03 — Gather
Food is culture. It is memory, celebration, and belonging. At Zawadi Connections, gathering people around locally grown food is one of the most powerful community-building acts we know.

The Nomadic Supper is Zawadi Connections' signature dining experience — a travelling farm-to-table feast that moves through Toronto's neighbourhoods, bringing together local farmers, chefs, and community members in unexpected spaces across the city. Each supper tells a story: of the land the food was grown on, the hands that tended it, and the community it nourishes. Zawadi means gift. The Nomadic Supper is that gift made edible.

Guest chefs drawn from Toronto's culinary community
Rotating venues — backyards, market halls, farm fields, and community spaces
Gather programs address City of Toronto Social Development Fund priorities and Ontario Arts Council community programming criteria. The Nomadic Supper generates earned revenue through ticket sales and sponsorships, while building community cohesion in Downsview — a recognized Toronto priority neighbourhood.
